My husband also told started bringing home spanish books and said he wanted to learn the language.  I got Rosetta Stone for us and it is a great program.  We plan to travel to Spain in the next few years to expand our knowledge.  
I also love Spanish and really regret taking French in high school and college.  How impractical when it is so necessary to practice to really learn a language- Spanish can be practiced just about everywhere you go!
Anyway, congratulations on getting your blog going!
